Getting started

Your first half hour

Everything is installed and connected. Here is the order to tackle things in — the one that gives a visible result fastest, with no risk.

1. Let the first sync happen (5 min)

Open the panel, the Wardrobe tab, and click Refresh. Do the same on Sales, Purchases and Messages.

In parallel, the extension imports your whole purchase history in the background. On an old account that can take several minutes, and it carries on even if you close the panel.

Then open the dashboard: your data starts appearing there. If it is empty, wait — the full sync runs every 15 minutes.

2. Look before you automate

Before switching anything on, take a tour of the dashboard: Sales, Analytics, Purchases. You will already see figures Vinted does not give you.

One important point right away: the "earnings" Vintedge shows are not the total the buyer paid. Vinted adds up the item price and the buyer protection fee; Vintedge shows what actually comes back to you. The figure is lower, and it is the correct one.

3. Repost by hand, once (5 min)

Reposting is the most profitable feature and the most delicate. Do just one, manually, to see the mechanics:

  1. Wardrobe → select one item.
  2. Click Repost.
  3. The settings window opens in confirmation mode. Read it.
  4. Confirm, then watch the progress step by step.

If you are not sure of anything, set the publishing mode to Draft only: Vintedge creates the draft and you publish it yourself from Vinted. It is the safest setting against removal for duplication.

The chapter Reposting covers every option.

4. Switch on a single agent (5 min)

Agents work continuously. Switch them on one by one, not all at once: if something bothers you, you will know where it came from.

The best first agent is Favorites: it sends a message to the people who favorite your items. It is the most visible in terms of results, and the most tightly framed (a person who has been contacted is never contacted twice).

Before turning it on, open its settings and write your own messages. The default texts work, but a message that sounds like you converts better.

5. Check the logistics (5 min)

The Sales tab: if you have sales to ship, try Crop label on just one. The PDF comes down to thermal printer format.

The Purchases tab: if you buy through pickup points, the collection codes can be retrieved automatically from your carrier emails. You have to allow Gmail in read-only mode once, in Settings → Integrations.

6. Take five minutes for stock

Stock is what turns Vintedge into a management tool rather than an automaton. Filling in the purchase price of your items is what makes every margin shown actually true.

On the dashboard, Stock: the items created from your purchases are already there. Complete the purchase price of the main ones, and your analytics become usable.

What not to do on day one

  • Switch everything on at once. You will no longer know which agent sent what.
  • Repost your whole wardrobe. Vinted removes listings it judges to be duplicates. Build up volume gradually.
  • Turn off the image transformations thinking it will save time: they are exactly what avoids duplicate detection.
  • Tick "Keep original listing active" without understanding it: you end up with two identical listings online, which Vinted penalizes.
