Getting started

What is Vintedge

Vintedge is made of two inseparable halves. Understanding which one does what will save you 90% of the questions you are about to ask.

The Chrome extension: the arm

The extension installs into your browser and opens on top of the Vinted site, through a floating blue button at the bottom left of the page — on desktop as well as on mobile. It is the half that acts on your account: reposting an item, sending a message, downloading a shipping label, answering an offer.

It acts from your browser, with your Vinted session — exactly as if you were clicking yourself. Vintedge does not know your Vinted password and never logs in to Vinted on your behalf from its servers.

The dashboard: the head

The dashboard lives at vintedge.app. It never touches Vinted directly. It receives what the extension sends it, files it, cross-checks it, and gives you what Vinted does not: real margins, monthly profitability, stock tracking, invoices, complete history.

It also works as a remote control: when you answer a message from the dashboard, the dashboard queues an instruction, and it is the extension that carries it out on Vinted a few seconds later.

How the two talk to each other

Vinted

the site, your session

Chrome extension

acts, reads, writes

Dashboard vintedge.app

files, calculates, steers

  • Upwards: the extension pushes your sales, purchases, items and messages to the dashboard. Continuously for messages (real time), every 15 minutes for the rest.
  • Downwards: the dashboard sends orders to the extension (send a message, make a counter-offer, publish a listing). The extension carries them out, then confirms.

The practical consequence to remember: if Chrome is closed, or if you are no longer logged in to Vinted in your browser, the extension can no longer do anything. The dashboard keeps showing what it already knows, but nothing new comes in and orders stay pending until the extension is back.

What Vintedge does

  • Reposts your listings automatically (after a sale, or at regular intervals), with image variations that avoid duplicate detection.
  • Answers buyers: automatic messages triggered by events, an AI assistant, follow-ups, messages to the people who favorite your items.
  • Negotiates: accepts, declines or counters according to the strategy you define on the dashboard.
  • Follows the money: revenue, real earnings, purchase cost, margin per item, monthly profitability, invoices.
  • Handles logistics: shipping labels in bulk, cropping for a thermal printer, pickup point collection codes retrieved from Gmail.
  • Keeps your stock: what you bought, what is online, what is sold, what is sitting still.

What Vintedge does not do

  • It does not create fake accounts and does not get around Vinted's rules.
  • It does not log in to Vinted for you: it is always your session, in your browser.
  • It does not guarantee sales. It removes the repetitive work; pricing, photos and choosing the right items remain your job.

What comes next

The normal path is four steps, in this order:

  1. Create your Vintedge account
  2. Install the Chrome extension, or on your phone
  3. Connect the extension to your account
  4. Connect your Vinted account

Ten minutes in total.
