The dashboard
Link your sales to your stock
A Vinted sale tells you how much you took in. It does not tell you how much the item had cost you. It is the link between the sale and the stock item that produces the margin.
Without the link, the dashboard shows your revenue. With it, it shows your profit.
Assisted matching
Vintedge suggests matches automatically, by comparing the Vinted item, the photos, the title and the SKU. A Sales to match panel appears at the top of the Sales and Stock pages.
The Confirm in 1 click button opens a review queue: you go through the suggestions and accept or reject them, in bulk if needed.
Each suggestion shows its confidence — Very likely, Likely, Possible — and what it rests on:
| Method | Reliability |
|---|---|
| Same Vinted item | The safest |
| Identical SKU | Very safe |
| Similar photo | Good |
| Similar title | To be checked |
| Multi-criteria match | Good |
Reread the "Possible" suggestions. The bulk confirmation reminds you: a mistake locks in a wrong margin, and inside a bundle it also skews the other items. It can be undone, but sale by sale.
Linking by hand
Open a sale's record. The Stock link block shows a progress bar (1/3 matched for a bundle of three).
You can:
- Search your stock by title, brand, SKU or description.
- Choose an item from the wardrobe rather than from stock — but careful, a wardrobe listing does not necessarily have a purchase price, so the margin will stay unknown.
- Create the product in stock directly from the sale: the product is created with the status Sold and linked. Fill in the purchase price while you are at it, that is the whole point.
The arrows at the top of the record move from one unmatched sale to the next. It is built for doing twenty links in a row without going back to the list.
Bundles
A bundle sale has one slot per item. Each slot is linked separately, and the earnings are split pro rata across the linked items.
If you change the composition of a bundle afterwards, the split may no longer match. The Link health panel on the Stock page detects it ("Inconsistent bundle splits") and offers to recalculate the split.
Cancelled sales
A cancelled sale unlinks the item automatically, and it goes back into stock. That is intended: the item is still with you, it can be resold, and its future sale will link normally.
The record then shows a banner explaining what happened.
Making it a habit
The best rhythm is weekly: open the Sales to match panel, confirm the safe suggestions, handle the dozen that remain by hand.
The Sales to confirm counter on the home page reminds you where you stand.
How to know whether it is done properly
On the home page, the Margin for the month card shows the number of costed sales. Compare it with the total number of sales for the month.
The Profitability tab in the analytics is even more explicit:
34 sales out of 51 have a linked purchase price (78% of revenue). The profit and the ratios only cover those; revenue counts every sale.
Below 70-80%, your margins are indicative. Above, they are usable.
