Account and subscription
Account security
The Security page adapts to how you log in.
If you log in with email and password
Change the password asks for the current password, the new one, and its confirmation.
The new password has to be at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a digit, and be different from the current one.
If you log in with Google
A Set a password card lets you add a classic login alongside Google. You will then be able to log in either way.
If you log in with Discord
An Add an email and set a password card adds an address and a password to your account. A verification email is sent: email login only works after you click the link.
It is a sensible precaution: if you lose access to Discord, you keep access to Vintedge.
Deleting your account
Deletion is irreversible. It erases your Vintedge account, your synced data, your settings and your cloud backups.
It obviously does not touch your Vinted accounts, your listings or your sales on Vinted.
Two forms of confirmation, depending on your account:
- with a password: type it in;
- without a password (Google or Discord login only): type exactly DELETE MY ACCOUNT.
Before deleting, export what you want to keep: your sales, your purchases and your stock as CSV, and your invoices as a ZIP. Nothing will be recoverable afterwards.
If your aim is only to stop paying, cancel the subscription from My account: your data stays, and you can come back.
Good practice
- A unique password for Vintedge — never the one for your Vinted account or your email.
- A password manager.
- If you share a computer, sign the extension out via Settings → Account → Sign out: the panel locks itself again.
What Vintedge will never ask you for
- Your Vinted password. There is no form for that, anywhere.
- Your bank details outside the Stripe portal.
- A code received by SMS or email outside a login flow you have just triggered yourself.
Any request of that kind is a phishing attempt, whatever it looks like.
