Reposting
When a repost fails
A repost that fails shows a precise message. Here is the translation of each one.
"Aucun onglet Vinted ouvert dans le navigateur"
(No Vinted tab open in the browser — the extension shows this message in French.)
Vinted refuses actions that do not start from one of its own pages. Vintedge needs an open Vinted tab in order to act.
Open vinted.co.uk (or your domain) and start again. See
The reserved Vinted tab.
"Vinted demande un captcha"
(Vinted is asking for a captcha.)
Vinted's anti-robot protection has kicked in. It is not a ban.
Go to the Vinted tab, complete the challenge by hand, then try again. If it comes back often, you are going too fast: increase the delays between reposts and lower the daily limit.
"Vinted refused all the photos"
Most often, the same anti-robot protection, applied to image uploads.
Wait a few minutes and try again. If the problem persists on one specific item, check that its photos are not corrupted on Vinted's side.
"Vinted refused the listing (missing or invalid field)"
Vinted rejected the publication, but the draft was created. You will find it in your Vinted drafts, to be completed by hand.
Vintedge does not retry in this case — otherwise each attempt would leave one more orphan draft behind.
Common causes: Vinted has made a field mandatory in that category (material, measurements), or the original item was incomplete.
"Daily limit reached"
Your own limit, set in the repost settings. The pending reposts resume the next day.
If that is intentional, change nothing. Otherwise, raise the limit — but gradually.
The listing was removed by Vinted after the repost
This is a removal for duplication. In order:
- Check that "Keep original listing active" is indeed off. If it is on, you are publishing two identical listings.
- Check that the image transformations are active (rotation, crop, micro-variations).
- Switch to Draft only and publish by hand for a while.
- Space out the reposts of the same item: reposting the same garment every 48 hours is too fast.
The photos degrade repost after repost
Vinted recompresses on every publication. Without a cloud backup, each repost starts from an already degraded version.
Create the cloud backup on the items concerned. It is then reused automatically at every repost. See The wardrobe.
Also turn off compression in the image settings if you had enabled it.
The scheduled repost does not trigger
In order:
- Is the item really in the tracking list, with "Scheduled repost" enabled?
- Has Chrome stayed open with a Vinted tab? The agent runs every 15 minutes, but only while the browser is running.
- Is your subscription active? A failed payment stops the agents.
- Does the activity log mention "Daily limit reached"?
A draft appeared with no published listing
This is the behavior described above: Vinted refused the publication after the draft was created. Complete it from Vinted, or delete it.
It can also be normal: if you chose Draft only, that is exactly what is expected.
The item disappeared with no new listing
This should not happen: Vintedge only deletes the original after the new listing's publication is confirmed.
If you run into this, first check your Vinted drafts and your recent listings — the listing probably exists in an unexpected form. Otherwise, contact support with the date, the item, and the extension's version number (shown at the top of the panel).
Everything is slow
That is normal, and deliberate. Vintedge imposes rate limits on itself to stay below Vinted's thresholds: a few requests per second at most, and an automatic slowdown after several refusals.
A complete repost takes one to two minutes: reading the listing, processing the photos, uploading, creating the draft, waiting, publishing, deleting. Multiplied by the delay between items, a batch of twenty reposts easily takes half an hour.
Let it run. Going faster means getting noticed.
